Chinese Wine Tasting for the Chinese New Year

China, surprisingly to a lot of people is now the 6th largest wine producer in the world. Contrary as to what wine lovers may assume, China is actually considered as an ”Old World” Wine Region with a history of winemaking spanning thousands of years; although vinifera wine has only been introduced in the 19th Century. Changyu is one of the most popular brands to come from the country producing beautiful wines from Bordeaux varietals with the addition of Cabernet Gernischt, a grape developed in the country. The wine industry in recent years has grown considerably in fact, that in the Ningxia wine region, they have started classifying ‘cru classes’ for their established wineries, most popular of those being Bacchus and Lanyi.

Yats Wine Cellars will be having a Wine Tasting on February 17, 2018, a Saturday at Yats Restaurant in Mimosa Leisure Estate, Clark Freeport Zone to welcome the Year of the Dog. Time will be 4:30 to 7 PM. Some Great wines from the Country in the major regions such as Penglai, Ningxia and Hebei will be tasted. Small plates could be ordered to accompany the tasting.

Attire is smart casual.

We are only allowing a very limited number of people for this event so
tickets would have to be paid in advance. Tickets are priced at 750 per person for 4 wines. You may reserve slots by contacting 0905 338 3856 or 0977 837 9012; or (045) 280 0017 and look for Odie.
