Health to remain Capitol’s top agenda

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — Health programs for Kapampangans will remain the top priority of the administration of Governor Lilia Pineda for 2011 until 2013.

Provincial Information Officer Joel Mapiles bared this to Sun.Star Monday, saying the governor was already meeting Capitol’s department heads to jumpstart and boost the Provincial Government’s plans and programs for this year.

“Health will still be the top agenda of Governor Pineda. This is foremost to her. Of course, the Pampanga Development Plan (PDP) will be the backbone of her administration until 2013. But the health of Kapampangans tops her list as always because she believes that it is the flagship project where all will benefit from,” said Mapiles.

Mapiles said the PDP Technical Working Group is set to present to Pineda details of the plan involving “four highways” covering every aspect from agriculture, infrastructure to investments generation.

“The Technical Working Group will present anytime this January the PDP to Governor Pineda. Once she approves it, she will then present it to the Provincial Board for their approval. Once adopted, it will be the governor who would implement the plan starting this year onwards to 2013,” Mapiles said.

He added the PDP will be laid-out with the participation of all stakeholders, whose expectations are high. (Jovi T. De Leon)
