Crepes
A crepe is a thin French pancake usually made from flour. It is usually filled with a sweet or savory filling and rolled into a tube.
• Ingredients
Made from a mixture of flour, eggs, milk, water, and sugar. Common sweet fillings include fruits, chocolate sauces, fruit sauces and ice cream. Savory fillings are often made from vegetables, herbs, meats, seafood and mushrooms.
• How to Make Crepes
1. Beat together 1 cup of flour and 2 eggs.
2. Add in 1/2 cup of milk and 1/2 cup of water a little at a time and mix until well combined.
3. Add in 1/4 teaspoon salt and 2 tablespoons of melted butter, whisking until the batter is uniform.
4. Put a nonstick pan on medium heat and add in the batter in 1/4 cup at at time moving the pan around to evenly coat the bottom.
5. Cook it for two minutes on the first side and flip it over to cook for another 30 seconds. Serve immediately or set in a warm oven.
