AUF University Week 2010

ANGELES University Foundation (AUF)is staging its University Week 2010 celebration with a roster of academic, cultural, sports, religious and community development activities, it was announced by AUF president Joseph Emmanuel Angeles.

The celebration kicks-off with the University Games, with the theme “Layag: The Conquest,” which will open on December 1 with sports anchor Chino Trinidad as guest speaker. The 10 colleges will compete in the following sports/events: cheer dance, chess, basketball, volleyball, swimming, lawn tennis, badminton, table tennis and cheering.

On December 4, a memorial mass in honor of AUF Founder & First President, Dr. Barbara Yap-Angeles will be held in celebration of her 103rd birth anniversary. On the same day, the search for Mr. and Ms. University 2010 will be staged featuring 24 candidates vying for the most coveted titles which launched to modeling stardom the likes of Abbygale Arenas, Marilyn Maristela, Darlene Carbungco, Ritchie Odejar and Maricel Morales.

The University Week celebration is also highlighted by various academic competitions such as debate, poetry interpretation, story-telling, impromptu speech and oratorical contests; Bible Quiz Bee: “Pagbigkas ng Tula;” Pamamoesia; and Math and Science Quiz.

The annual gift-giving event for the poor, dubbed Bigay Puso 2009 Project will culminate in a special program for indigent beneficiaries on December 18 at the AUF Covered Court. Meanwhile, the grand finals of the Awit Paskuhan 2010 Inter-school Choir Competition will be held on December 16 at the AUF St. Cecilia’s Auditorium.
To cap the celebration, the AUF Concert Chorus will stage a Christmas Concert during the Giant Lantern Festival on December 18 at the City of San Fernando and at SM City Clark Events Center on December 19. (Press Release)

Getting to this wine shop in Pampanga Angeles City Clark Freeport Zone Philippines from Manila

Getting to the Clark Wine Center wine shop from Manila is quite simple:  after entering Clark Freeport from Dau and Angeles City, proceed straight along the main highway M A Roxas. Clark Wine Center is the stand-along white building on the right, at the corner A Bonifacio Ave.  From the Clark International Airport DMIA, ask the taxi to drive towards the entrance of Clark going to Angeles City.  From Mimosa, just proceed towards the exit of Clark and this wine shop is on the opposite side of the main road M A Roxas.
