Monday, December 6, 2010
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — Pampanga Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc. president Rene Romero said on Monday that the province’s business sector is happy about developments under the administration of Governor Lilia Pineda.
Romero, representing the business sector, graced Monday’s kick-off ceremony of the 439th Pampanga Day celebrations.
“We are very happy because we could see that the current administration under Governor Lilia Pineda is reaching out, asking us to join her in projects and business development. She always consults us about her plans and I could very well feel her sincerity in partnering with the private sector,” Romero told Sun.Star Pampanga.
He said that the public-private partnership in governance initiated by Pineda is a dream come true for the business sector.
“We have been asking for that [partnership]. For me, it is a vital factor in enhancing development and making governance really work. And we are very happy, especially this Pampanga Day celebration, because we, together with all other sectors, are a part of it,” said Romero.
He added that they would continuously support the current administration as it listens and acts on the requests of the private sector.
“That is very important to us and inspires us to work with them,” Romero concluded. (Jovi T. De Leon)
