Brillante Mendoza film fest set

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — SM City Pampanga will host the first ever Brillante Mendoza Film Festival on December 6 and 7 in a bid to give independent film enthusiasts and college students a rare chance to watch the winning works  of the internationally acclaimed Kapampangan director.

SM City Public Relations Officer Rain Cervantes told Sun.Star that SM Cinema 6 will showcase the award-winning films “Lola,” “Manoro,” “Kaleldo” and Foster Child. Two films will be shown from 11:30 a.m. to 12:50 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 2:20 p.m.

Mendoza is a native of this city and has directed nine films since 2005. He won the award for Best Director for his film “Kinatay” at the 62nd Cannes Film Festival.  His latest film “Lola” won the best film award at the 6th Dubai International Film Festival.

“The Brillante Mendoza Film Festival is part of the month-long 10th year anniversary of SM City Pampanga.  The event is part of our bid to showcase local attractions and talents that honor the triumph of the Kapampangan spirit,” Cervantes said.

Recently, SM City Pampanga hosted a series of events for its 10th year anniversary.  These included art exhibits, food expos, concerts and an assortment of other events highlighting Kapampangan culture, tradition and local history.

Getting to this wine shop in Pampanga Angeles City Clark Freeport Zone Philippines from Manila

Getting to the Clark Wine Center wine shop from Manila is quite simple:  after entering Clark Freeport from Dau and Angeles City, proceed straight along the main highway M A Roxas. Clark Wine Center is the stand-along white building on the right, at the corner A Bonifacio Ave.  From the Clark International Airport DMIA, ask the taxi to drive towards the entrance of Clark going to Angeles City.  From Mimosa, just proceed towards the exit of Clark and this wine shop is on the opposite side of the main road M A Roxas.
