Couple using minor to sell drug nabbed

CAMP OLIVAS — A couple who was found using a minor to sell drugs was arrested over the weekend in Tarlac City.
Nasse Taha and Norhaina Macadatar were arrested at a shopping mall in Barangay Sto. Cristo in the province during a buy-bust operation conducted by local police.
The couple reportedly commanded a nine-year-old boy to sell one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu, weighing 0.01 gram worth P1,000 to a poseur-buyer.
After the minor handed over the marked money to Taha, police immediately arrested the couple.
The suspects were taken to the city’s police station while the suspected illegal substance was taken to the Tarlac Provincial Crime Laboratory Office for disposition.
The minor was turned over to the Tarlac Lingap Center located in Barangay San Juan de Mata.
A case for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 is being readied against the suspects for filing at the Prosecutor’s Office.
