Treatu Ima at Arti to stage musicale on Apung Ceto

STA. RITA — The Teatru Ima at Arti will be staging a musicale in honor of the life and ministry of San Fernando Archbishop Paciano Aniceto (Apung Ceto) in January according to Andy Alviz, the group’s creative director.
Alviz made this announcement during the 10th Duman Festival here Saturday night.
Alviz said the musicale titled “Ciniong” will be staged in Lubao, Sta. Rita and the City of San Fernando after being shown at the Holy Angel University theater this coming January.
Alviz said that the event is a tribute to the contributions of Aniceto to the Catholic community in the province.
Archbishop Paciano Basilio Aniceto, D.D. is the Roman Catholic Archbishop of the Metropolitan Archdiocese of San Fernando.
He is the third Archbishop to hold the Metropolitan See, which is located in located in San Fernando City, Pampanga.
The 73-year-old prelate is recognized as among the most respected personalities and leaders in the province.
Alviz said that the play will center on the religious life of Aniceto and his personal adversities and triumphs.
The play aims to renew the community awareness on the importance of the priestly vocation and to attract more support for the young people in the province who are pursuing their priestly vocations.
The play will be jointly staged with the Mother of Good Counsel Seminary and Arti.Sta Rita and some priests in the province.
The play will be the fourth musicale play of Teatru Ima at Arti, a group of women in their 50s and are mostly devout Catholics.
Teatru Ima at Arti, a newly formed non-profit theater group with a purpose, entirely composed of Kapampangan women aged 50 years old and above, is an interesting mix of career women, entrepreneurs, artists and homemakers.
Their aim is to render a different kind of entertainment to their audience, while inspiring women of all ages and proving that it is never too late to follow one’s heart. MaArti is the first of its kind in Pampanga and arguably in the Philippines. Most of the members are theater neophytes. (Ian Ocampo Flora)
