THE world has indeed gone smaller.
You would often hear of this phrase in reference to the internet. Through cyber space, one could easily access information that was once only available in voluminous encyclopedia. Through cyber space, one could have a glimpse of nations and major places of interests that one would normally see in huge posters.
Communication — by voice, video or combination of both — is also made easier and more convenient through the internet. Through this, members of families who are away from one another are made closer. Business transactions across the globe are also finalized, leading to improved viability among enterprises.
Of course, all of these are made hassle-free if one’s internet connection is fast and reliable.
I could only think of internet connections offered by Smart as one indispensable partner in family and business undertakings.
I’ve long been a subscriber of SmartBro and it has not given me any problem, say, in the last four years that I have it at home.
With such a minimal speed for my household or personal needs, I could only wonder how powerful Smart’s new offering – Smart Bro Enterprise (SBE) – could be.
SBE was launched in Central Luzon two days ago inside Clark Freeport, with reps from tech companies, local government units, computer retailers in attendance. Oh yes, there were also top officers of the Clark Investors and Locators Association like the good looking Lito Mercado of Clark Telecom and debonair Radito Tuazon of Clark Electric.

I remember taking one with me during a family trip to a resort in San Antonio, Zambales about three years ago. I think that was the first-generation plug-it with that black dongle hanging via a USB cable (which was greatly improved now as it no longer precariously hangs from either a laptop or desktop).
The unit worked well as I had to read newspaper and send my column article to this paper then. It did not work well but splendidly, dependably well as I used it from a remote, island-type location. Was I happy with it? Not only I, but others in our entourage who hitched on my mobile internet access.

Smart will not charge interest for payment of the devices.
